Then there are the newer, less mainstream approaches. For example, Emotional Freedom Techniques stimulate the body’s meridian points, as in acupuncture, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, often used to treat victims of trauma, uses objects waved in front of the eye to reduce stress.”
